Competitive DOE An excellent opportunity has presented itself to join our client, an industry leader in the fashion sector, as their Retail Store Manager. You will join the management team, reporting to the Area Manager. As the Retail Store Manager, you will maximise business profitability by optimising sales opportunities whilst working within planned costs. You will manage day-to-day operations of the store, deliver excellent customer service through staff training, and lead by example. Primary Responsibilities

Increasing Store Profitability & Sales

Monitor store performance daily, weekly, and monthly, providing reports and updates to area managers. Utilise KPIs to enhance store performance and sales. Awareness of store performance relating to customer footfall, conversion, and average spend. Show initiative in product placement and prioritise concessions. Review margins and sales per square foot to ensure maximum profit. Engage in new business development. Ensure staff are consistently aware of sales targets and exceeding expectations. Train staff in visual merchandising. Ensure sales floor layout reflects company guidelines to encourage customer flow. Maintain costs in line with budget, proactively planning to maximise available budget. Customer Service

Demonstrate good customer awareness and interaction at all times. Monitor and seek continuous improvement in the level of service given to customers. Improve product knowledge of staff and yourself. Maintain optimum stock levels, ensuring prompt delivery and stock replenishment. Complete Rota’s with enough staff on each shift, within budget. Staff Management

Recruit staff as authorised by the Area Manager, ensuring recruitment remains within budget. Onboard and induct new staff in line with company expectations. Train and develop the team in line with company guidelines. Monitor, review, and appraise individuals as per company procedures. Monitor staff performance, behaviour, and appearance on an ongoing basis. Set and implement clear work objectives for the team. Maintain and enhance successful business relationships. Administration & Health/Safety

Ensure all branch administration is completed according to company procedure, including cash management and stock control. Fulfil obligations to adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company policies. Experience & Requirements

Previous experience as a retail supervisor/manager, preferably within fashion. Experience managing teams of up to 25 staff members. Confident in leading a team. Exceptional customer service skills. Experience managing budgets and increasing sales. Flexible to work weekends and longer shifts when required. Proficient in administration, reporting, and health & safety.
