Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, adapting to the needs of students with varying abilities. * Teach a broad range of topics, including physical geography (e.g., climate, landforms) and human geography (e.g., urbanisation, globalisation), ensuring students develop a deep understanding of key concepts. * Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback while maintaining strong communication with parents and guardians. * Contribute to the development and enhancement of the geography curriculum, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum and exam board specifications. * Lead and support extracurricular activities such as geography clubs, field trips, or environmental projects to deepen students' engagement with the subject. * Stay current with the latest educational trends and best practices in geography teaching through continuous professional development. * Maintain effective classroom management strategies, upholding school behaviour policies to create a focused and respectful learning environment. * Collaborate with colleagues across departments to offer cross-curricular learning opportunities that enhance students' understanding of geography in relation to other subjects.
