What You Will Do

As a Senior Consultant at Guidehouse, you will be working in a team advising our clients on how they can best navigate the challenges and opportunities associated with the energy transition. Projects may cover the role of hydrogen, biofuels, and carbon capture and storage in the future energy system to enable decarbonisation pathways for transport, industry and heat, electricity network innovation, flexibility markets, net-zero business model opportunities, regional whole system solutions across electricity and gas, network asset management, and offshore grid development. Typically, your role will involve: Performing industry research, engaging internal and external stakeholders, preparing client deliverables, and presenting findings to your project team and clients. Synthesising data into clear analyses and providing fact-based recommendations and solutions for drafting summary reports and presentations. Supporting the development of plans to implement the recommendations and solutions proposed. Supporting the development of client proposals and other business development activities. You Are A team-player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in diverse teams collaborating with colleagues at all levels. A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and creative in problem solving. Able to show a working knowledge of data collection, organisational and analytical skills. Able to work on multiple projects and show a good understanding of the project objectives and client expectations. A strong communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. Passionate about the energy transition, innovation, and personal development. What You Will Need Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., engineering, energy, economics, mathematics, physical sciences etc.). 3-5 years of working experience in related fields. A strong curiosity, and/or experience, in a relevant industry topic such as: how gas systems work, the role of gas shippers, gas networks, off-takers and suppliers. Working knowledge of the GB energy market, and how policy and regulatory change would impact this. Right to work in the UK e.g., UK Passport, pre-settled status or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, or valid working Visa. Fluent English language (written and spoken). Flexibility to work with Guidehouse colleagues and/or client teams in Guidehouse UK office, and other UK locations as needed. This position requires successful completion of a background check and employment verification. What Would Be Nice To Have: Relevant Master's degree (e.g., engineering, energy, economics, mathematics, physical sciences, etc.) Willingness to travel internationally. What We Offer:
