Senior Finance Business Partner . This is a

12 month FTC

role paying up to

£53,426, rising to £55,749 after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

This is a hybrid role with up to 3 remote working days. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Business Partner: Leadership and Team Oversight : Manage a team of three Finance Business Partners, ensuring high performance and strong morale. Act as deputy to the Head of Finance and Commercial when required. Financial Control and Compliance : Ensure accurate financial transactions, robust financial controls, and compliance with public sector accounting standards and sponsor department requirements. Decision Support : Provide clear analysis of financial data to guide decisions, highlight risks, and recommend practical solutions to senior stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with internal teams, senior leaders, and external stakeholders, representing finance at key meetings when needed. Budgeting and Forecasting : Support the creation of accurate budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities to support organisational goals. Audit and Reporting : Prepare for annual audits and ensure financial statements are accurate and comply with public sector reporting standards. Previous Skills and Experience of the Senior Finance Business Partner: Ideally qualified with a recognised accounting qualification with several years post-qual experience or qualified through experience. The ideal candidate will have public sector experience. Proven expertise in managing finance teams, overseeing financial transactions, producing management accounts, and providing clear financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders. Skilled in preparing annual accounts for audit and publishing financial statements for public review. Experience working with and supporting senior managers and stakeholders at a strategic level. Ability to analyse and clearly communicate complex financial information, identify risks, and recommend effective solutions.
