Finance Manager £50,000-£55,000 Our client is offering a unique opportunity to be engaged in an exciting growth phase of their business. Having consistently grown their revenues over the past three years, they now need a full-time Finance Manager to run the finance function for the next phase of the business, ensuring the processes, systems, and outputs keep pace with the business as it increases its scale; and the demands of all stakeholders, including external banks, investors, and shareholders, are managed effectively. We are seeking a finalist/qualified accountant who is keen to undertake a new challenge, bringing the finance function in-house for the first time. The role reports to the CFO. Currently, it is a stand-alone role, though as the business grows further, the Finance Manager will be required to bring in additional resources as and when needed. While there are currently no direct reports, the Finance Manager will be an integral part of the Management Team, assisting in shaping the business for the future. The Finance Manager will be expected to deliver the following: Key Financial Processes

Preparing the monthly financial pack for the Leadership Team and the Board, providing a view of the company performance, the balance sheet, and the cash flow. Working closely with all members of the Management Team and Leadership Team. Close communication is critical to ensure the financial results and projections accurately reflect our current activity and future expected activity. Managing the implementation of new accounting software suitable for a scaled business. Being central to the annual budgeting process and any reforecasting exercise required by the business during any financial year. Providing the necessary support to deliver the annual external audit and support the completion of the company tax returns. Being responsible for all input into the financial platform in a controlled, timely, and orderly manner. Management of the purchase and sales ledger ensuring we pay partners and clients on a timely basis and the ledgers are reconciled. Checking the expenses being claimed by employees, making sure we have the necessary receipts to support all spend. Controlling the payroll processes and ensuring all returns are submitted and liabilities are settled. Managing the bank account and keeping the three-month visibility of cash through the weekly cash flow forecast up to date. Commercial Insight

Considering new accounting software platforms that could be used by the business. Reviewing the systems used by the business and identifying the potential for increased efficiency and productivity in the work we do. The Team

While there is no team today, the requirement will be there in the future. It will therefore be necessary to consider when this additional resource is needed and at that time to take direct responsibility for employing that new resource. Qualified accountant - ACCA or CIMA - or at a minimum close to completion of these exams. Happy being hands-on as well as overseeing and managing finances in an owner-managed SME business. Excellent communicator, confident in dealing with team at all levels in an organisation. If this role is of interest, please apply today for further information.
