The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures. Primary Responsibilities:
Processing a variety of general ledger entries
Preparing income and balance sheet statements
Creating consolidated statements
Generating various other accounting statements and reports
Processing, reconciling, and posting corporate VISA card expenses through credit union software
Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
Assisting with merger activities and related accounting tasks
Qualifications:
Associates degree or above in Accounting or related field required
Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong background in accounting principles and procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Familiarity with accounting software and tools used within credit unions
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
