Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm Role The role provides effective support to the Financial Controller, be an integral part of the finance function, maintain financial policies and management information systems. Job Description Responsible for the preparation of full monthly Management Accounts Analyse Financial and Business data to assess and challenge performance, and to assist management decision making. Produce key reports, daily, weekly and monthly in a timely and accurate manner to support business performance. Liaise and support other areas with the finance function – Purchase ledger, Sales ledger. Involvement in monthly Balance sheet and Intercompany reconciliations. Monthly stock and material reporting and reconciliations. Produce a monthly departmental manager’s pack giving overall business performance and departmental budgeted variance analysis. Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register. Preparation of VAT returns. Reporting of Intrastat data. Provide necessary input for Budgets and Forecasts Year End tasks - Liaise with auditors – processing schedules and analysis as required Assist with preparation of the year end accounts pack Any other ad hoc tasks as and when required Responsibilities Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality. Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity. Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute. Responsible citizen – responsible for own behavior, acting in a manner that avoids, discourages any form of discrimination or harassment. Take responsibility for own health, safety and welfare ensuring compliance with organization’s policies and procedures. Performance Measures Adherence to daily/weekly/monthly deadlines as appropriate. Active contribution to systems and process improvements Undertake reasonable training, development activity designed to support the Financial Controller in his/her role Skills/Abilities/Qualifications AAT4, QBE, Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA Manufacturing Experience High proficiency in Excel Good Microsoft Office applications knowledge
