Location: Bristol, United Kingdom Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid About We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer with extensive experience in financial strategy and operations, and a proven track record in driving start-up performance. As a key member, you will lead our client's finance strategy, establish best-practice systems and controls, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and business-focused financial insights. You will collaborate with the executive team, oversee core financial functions, and drive initiatives to optimize pricing, enhance forecasting, and support start-up growth.

Key Responsibilities: ● Lead the company's finance strategy and drive overall financial results. ● Put in place ‘best practice’ systems, processes and controls to ensure clear and accurate data. ● Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely, business-focused forecasting, reporting and analytics. ● Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation. ● Oversee and review accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes, and compliance. ● Maintain a collaborative environment with peers and the executive team. ● Support in improving the efficiency of the funding cycle for payroll. ● Own and optimise the pricing model. ● Implement automated processes to deliver accurate forecasting and budgeting. ● Collaborate with P&L owners to deliver revenue targets and manage costs across the business. What’s in Your Backpack ● Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA): Essential for ensuring a solid foundation in accounting and financial management. ● Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration: An MBA would be a plus, especially for candidates with ambitions to drive strategic growth. ● Proven Experience as a CFO or Senior Finance Leader: At least 10 years of experience, with a significant portion in scaling a business, preferably within the tech, IoT, or hardware sectors. ● Fundraising Expertise: Hands-on experience raising capital through venture capital (VC), private equity, or other sources is essential for supporting growth. ● Tech Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the dynamics of IoT, hardware, or SaaS business models, including subscription-based revenue streams and R&D investment. ● Investor Relations: Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders, manage investor relationships, and create compelling financial narratives. ● Regulatory Compliance: Thorough understanding of UK accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations relevant to IoT and manufacturing businesses.
