We are now seeking a motivated Land Manager to join our quickly expanding team in the newly established South Midlands region which has acquired 1,900+ plots in its initial two and half years of operation. It’s an exciting position with tremendous potential for future growth. Key Responsibilities As a Land Manager, you will take the lead in identifying, negotiating, and securing land and development opportunities that align with both short and medium term goals, ensuring they meet our budgetary and forecasted targets. Your key duties will include: Managing the end-to-end process of land acquisition, from initial identification to contract negotiation and completion. Building and maintaining strong relationships with landowners, agents, housing associations, and institutional partners. Leading forward-fund transactions, providing strategic leadership on key acquisitions. Liaising effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the process. Key Capabilities Required The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience of land acquisition, gained in a house building environment or equivalent experience with HA / BTR operator. Your key skills will include communication, numeracy, report writing, data analysis, IT proficiency (inc MS Excel), negotiation, project management and presentation skills. Ideally you will have a degree in a planning/property related discipline or will be qualified by relevant experience. A good standard of written English is essential with the ability to meet tight deadlines. The role involves travel which requires a full driving licence.
