Position Summary Metrea is seeking a professional and highly skilled individual to help contribute software to a team that’s responsible for the development of our data-centric electronic intelligence solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

Visualize, design, and develop innovative software platforms, as we continue to experience growth in the usage and visibility of our products.

Create scalable software platforms and applications, and efficient networking solutions that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration.

Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation.

Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations.

Develop software and applications, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with urgency and quality.

Collaborate with program team and tech lead, to deliver solutions against project work plans.

Skills and Experience Applicants should meet the following criteria:

HND or BSc level qualification in Software Engineering or equivalent Computer Science related discipline.

3 or more years’ demonstrable experience in an active Software Development role using C++.

Additional experience in one or more of the following disciplines would be beneficial:

Development of software for Windows/Linux based platforms.

C/C#/JavaScript/Python/React.

HTML/CSS/PHP.

SQL/NoSQL Database manipulation.

Mobile application development.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Employee must be a UK citizen and must be able to have and maintain at least a BPSS Clearance, appropriate to the nature of the role and the willingness to seek higher levels of clearance.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with typical working hours of 37.5 hours per week. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
