Here at EdEx, we are working alongside a brilliant Primary School based in Barnet who are looking for an equally brilliant Playroom Assistant to join their team ASAP.

As a Playroom Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to the children day to day to ensure their early years development through means such as reading and phonics interventions. This will also involve working closely with the playroom leader to ensure that safety is prioritized while promoting a fun and engaging environment for the children to learn in.

We have found that within these positions, creative graduates have thrived and flourished as they can encourage learning and engagement through creative outlets such as art, music, and play.

Playroom Assistant - About the role: Working closely with the Playroom Leader in EYFS classes to maintain a safe environment. Can involve personal care and working alongside SEN children and children going through diagnosis (ADHD, ASD, S&L etc). Holding 1:1 reading and phonics sessions with children. Encouraging fun and creative outlets for learning. £105 - £110 per day - Term time only. ASAP Start - Full time - Full academic year. Based in Barnet.

Playroom Assistant - Ideal applicant: Have a strong academic background (Degree, A Levels, GCSEs). Have a passion for working alongside children in their early years of education. Have a bubbly, outgoing and approachable personality. Be a creative individual who can think on their feet.
