SC / SC eligible About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Firmware Engineer

to join our team on a 6-9 month contract. In this role, you will be developing and implementing signal processing firmware. You will work on designing and testing advanced firmware solutions for FPGAs and RFSoCs, contributing to the development of sophisticated communications systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement firmware solutions using

VHDL

for FPGAs and RFSoCs. Utilise

Xilinx chipsets (Zynq)

and design tools like

Vivado

to create innovative solutions. Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of communications signal processing chain components. Translate outline concepts and system requirements into detailed designs and implementations. Produce clear, well-documented design specifications and maintain high-quality, commented source code. Collaborate effectively within a team environment to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Essential Skills and Experience: Significant experience in

firmware development

using

VHDL

for FPGAs/RFSoCs. Experience in developing and implementing

signal processing firmware . Proficiency with

Xilinx chipsets

(Zynq preferred) and design tools such as

Vivado . Strong understanding of

communications system design

and modem development. Proven ability to develop and deliver detailed technical designs from initial concepts. Experience with

software version control systems

(e.g., Git). Desirable Skills: Familiarity with

optical communications systems .
