Job Description
The Head of Manufacturing Operations will report into the Operations Director and forms a critical part of the site leadership team. They will:
Manage and oversee all aspects of the manufacturing operation, responsible for c.500 colleagues
Identify areas for improvement and implement efficient and cost-effective solutions
Collaborate with other department heads to align processes and strategies
Lead a team of professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Manage departmental budgets
Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary corrective actions
Manage relationships with key operational vendors and service providers
Continually develop team to create high performance culture
The Successful Applicant
The successful Head of Manufacturing Operations will possess a range of the following:
Significant experience in a leadership role within the FMCG industry (ideally food or food related sector)
Strong knowledge of production management principles and best practices
Ability to manage effectively through direct reporting line
Proven track record of managing large teams and high levels of SKUs
Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
Strong people leader with a hands on approach
High level communicator with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
Highly ambitious and self-motivated
