Sharpsmart have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to be based fulltime at our Spennymoor Plant. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for leading the warehouse operation ensuring a first class operation to meet our healthcare customer demands.

Key responsibilities:

Guides warehouse operations on the physical segregation and proper labelling of brand-new stock and returned/reusable stocks to avoid contamination and mix-up. Maintain a complete and orderly listing of all item codes in excel spreadsheet. Assigns the company items to a stock keeping location and updates regularly to National Ops Admin Manager. Plans and prepares the Monthly and Full Year Inventory Count Calendar. Plans the manpower and other resources for the stock container deliveries and inventory count activity. Puts in place adequate controls and measures to ensure compliance with company policy. Reviews the status of inventory shelf life. Prepares and keeps records of the Request for Inventory Adjustment for approval by the National Ops Admin Manager. Handles special projects and initiatives related to master stock data alignment. Provides overall supervision for the effective execution of the duties and responsibilities attached to the Inventory Control. Conducts random system and document audit of stock transactions that impact on inventory for accuracy, timelines, and correctness. Reviews the status of inventory shelf life and prepares the inventory report to flag the company on risks of product expiration, working with National Ops Admin Manager for the timely disposition of near expiry inventory. Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. Implementing operational procedures. Implementing and overseeing security operations. Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment and racking system. Essential skills:

Leadership experience within relevant role in a warehouse environment minimum 3 years. Experience of continually improving processes related to quality, cost savings and operational efficiencies. Intermediate excel skills and other Microsoft Packages. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in a fast paced warehouse environment. Demonstrable warehouse management experience. Strong people management experience. Proactive and can do attitude. Strong planning and organisational skills. Working hours: 45 hour working week.
