Carnell are seeking an experienced Site Manager to work on our sites across the UK. The successful candidate will have an important role in delivery of the work programme to the client to time, cost and quality. The role holder is responsible for the day to day running of site. The Site Manager takes responsibility for the safety, quality and environmental elements of the work being undertaken they essentially provide the bridge between site operations and office-based management. As such the role holder needs excellent IT skills, communication skills, and the ability to lead multi discipline site teams. The role holder must be flexible and able to work away from home when required, undertake duties at night and on weekends to provide cover for the supervisor and to do overtime when necessary. Responsibilities –

but not limited to : Ensure all work is carried out to the required specification and standard and in line with CDM 2015. Undertake and record weekly SHE inspections. Ensuring that appropriate method statements, risk assessments, permits etc are in place. Deliver start of shift briefings including any Toolbox Talks/Safety Briefings as required. Ensuring that all plant, machinery, and equipment (including hired) is fit for purpose and that the required daily inspections are carried out. Keep PM/CM informed daily of any changes to works scope. Coach and look after new starters. Complete Daily Diaries detailing plant and labour used, site conditions, progress of works delivered, and any incidents/issues escalated. Ensure resource levels (materials) on site are maintained to correct levels. Person Specification Site Management experience within Highways/Civil Engineering. Understanding of Health & Safety legislation. SMSTS. Company vehicle, fuel card, mobile, laptop and PPE are all provided. Pension Scheme. Online rewards platform with over 900+ retailers.
