About the Role We are seeking a Director of Membership to join our team. This role is essential for enhancing member engagement, retention, and growth of our SaaS core business. The ideal candidate will be adept at working within a matrix business model, collaborating with various departments to optimize member experiences and drive exceptional growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to increase member acquisition, retention, and engagement for our SaaS business. Collaborate with the CEO, COO and the rest of the executive team to set targets and KPIs and lead the delivery of the member value proposition. Driven execution of Membership strategies with assistance of assigned Project Managers and key support teams. Develop and implement retention strategies to enhance member satisfaction and loyalty. Oversee and manage vendor budgets and costs related to the Membership platform. Analyze membership performance data and trends to identify opportunities for growth, with particular focus on market penetration strategies, customer segmentation, pricing strategies and geographical expansion. Work closely with marketing, product development, customer service, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to membership management. Identify and develop new membership benefits and services to add value for members. Plan and host, webinars, and other engagement activities. Technical Skills: Membership Management Software:

Proficiency with CRM and membership management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AuthO, HubSpot, MemberClicks). Data Analysis and Reporting:

Experience in developing and interpreting performance metrics and KPIs. Digital Marketing:

Understanding of digital marketing strategies including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing. Financial Acumen:

Understanding of budgeting and financial planning related to membership programs. Soft Skills Strategic Thinking:

Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with company goals. Innovation:

An innovative mindset to develop new ideas and approaches to enhance the membership experience. Leadership:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire individuals Collaboration:

Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a matrix organization and foster cross-departmental collaboration. Customer Focus:

Deep understanding and empathy for member needs and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in SaaS business development, membership management, customer retention, or related roles. Proven track record of developing and executing successful membership strategies. Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage cross-functional projects. Experience in the education or certification industry is a plus.
