What do the team do?

The Tax team work with clients across a broad spectrum, from high net worth individuals through to large corporates and not-for-profit entities. The team has an international presence and offers compliance services for complex clients through to delivering exciting projects of an advisory nature.

As part of our dedicated Corporate Tax team you will manage a portfolio of business clients and undertake complex corporate tax compliance work for large UK and international companies and groups(50%), as well as a range of advisory assignments (50%) - to include corporate reorganisations, business sales and acquisitions, tax due diligence, property tax, EIS, corporate interest restriction (CIR), R&D tax and other ad-hoc projects.

The team work as one nationally, so we are open to hiring someone who can be based out of one of the following locations - London , Cambridge , Norwich or Peterborough .

What will I be doing?

As a Corporate Tax Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:

Controlling own portfolio of clients, monitoring WIP and client costs

Planning jobs, instructing juniors and their reviewing work, ensuring constructive feedback is given at all times

Undertaking and supervising tax compliance and advisory work so that it requires final review only

Providing effective tax planning advice to clients, both direct to clients and through Audit and Accounts team portfolio managers throughout the firm

Displaying pro-active awareness of current relevant legislation, compliance standards and potential advantages, relating them to client situations

Assisting with proposals and presentations to potential clients

What experience do I need?

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

CTA qualified with over two years post qualified experience (minimum criteria)

A tax background including both corporate tax compliance and advisory experience (minimum criteria)

At least 50% of time spent in most recent roles undertaking tax advisory work

Experience managing a portfolio of clients and providing tax planning advice

Strong communication and report writing skills
