Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited Exclusively working with a growing multi-disciplinary business that requires an experienced Projects Management Accountant to join the team in the construction sector.

Projects Management Accountant - About the role The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within a project-focused environment. This position requires a deep understanding of financial management principles, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams to ensure financial objectives are met. Key Responsibilities: Provide financial leadership and guidance on all aspects of project financial management. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for construction projects. Analyse financial data to support decision-making processes and optimise project performance. Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives. Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Ensure that the projects are adhering to the budget with full awareness of the commercial and service levels agreements being met by sub-contractors. Develop financial controls within the project finance team to ensure that objectives are being met. The successful Projects Management Accountant will be / have: CIMA / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified. Experience of working within either engineering, oil & gas, construction or engineering. Proven experience in commercial finance management, preferably within the construction industry. Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex financial information. Experience of working within a project forecasting environment.
