To lead analytical development and capability of the VRU work with partners in Public Health and Police. This will include line management and oversight of a team of analysts relevant to the role in reducing serious violence. This includes quality assurance of VRU and Police Analytical support. The production of the annual Strategic Needs Assessment to ensure it provides high-quality public health data analysis, and intelligence that will inform partners to target resources across Northumbria. What do I need?

Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a public health or research/analytical related field Highly numerate with highly developed analytical skills to present complex and/or sensitive information clearly Knowledge of public health and demographic data sources and datasets An understanding of health inequalities and the social determinants Knowledge concerning statistical techniques and procedures relevant to the analysis and interpretation of health data sets, such as standardisation, confidence intervals, statistical process control. A high level of skill in interpreting various datasets with use of good problem-solving ability Good oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Vetting Level – Recruitment Vetting (RV) Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.
