Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the Regional Credit Manager is fully responsible for the leadership, direction, and development of a team of staff controlling all commercial and credit risk exposures in the region. Key activities will include: Full management responsibility for the Regional Credit Office and the team of staff (10). The evaluation and appraisal of new credit account applications and the ongoing review and management of existing risks and exposures. This will involve regular travel throughout London (and occasionally beyond) meeting branch managers and developing and maintaining excellent relationships with customers at a senior level. Providing expert technical advice and guidance to branch managers on any credit-related matters that arise at branches in the region. Implementation of the company's credit management policy and service level requirements including appropriate debt recovery action through the Courts where necessary. About You: This is an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a high-calibre Credit or Finance professional seeking to apply their experience, skills, and knowledge in a vibrant commercial risk management environment. To meet this challenge, you should be able to demonstrate: Experience in a finance or commercial credit management role with the successful management of a team of staff. A sound knowledge of balance sheet appraisal techniques and, preferably, experience in applying such techniques in a commercial credit, risk appraisal capacity. Ideally, a degree or degree-level professional qualification, preferably accountancy or finance based. To succeed in this role you will need to be a self-starting, people-focused individual showing a strong-minded and assertive personality. Excellent communication and negotiation skills will be required. A full training and induction programme will be available including visits to other credit offices. What can you expect from us?
