The Role: As our

T Level in Education and Early Years Assessor,

you will be responsible for preparing the T level in Education and Early Years students for work placement. The post holder will visit, report and assess on the progress and performance of students at placement, they will also liaise with the external provider as part of the assessment for the T level, as well as undertaking a range of duties that support the successful running of Early Years work placements. Responsibilities as our

T Level in Education and Early Years Assessor

will include: Arranging, in consultation with the Personal Development Manager for People and Students Experience, Learning Manager for Early Years and Care,, and tutors, work placements for all full-time students on the T level in Education and Early Years study programme. The majority of students are 16-18 years old and are aiming to work in the Early Years sector upon completion of their course. Acting as DBS signatory for all DBS applications. Liaising with placement providers and tutors on the progress and assessment/performance of students. Participating in student tutorials/taught sessions relating to work placements Liaising with placement providers and appropriate external bodies/organisations in order to foster effective links and develop new placements. Visiting students at their work placements and monitoring their attendance and progress. Completing placement visit observations or reports (as appropriate) as required by the awarding bodies and Learning Manager. Planning and accurately recording placement visits in the most cost effective manner. Attending relevant team meetings and contributing to discussions relating to work placement and student progress. Contributing fully to discussions and development work on programme design, assessment practice, student placements and individual student’s progress. As our

T Level in Education and Early Years Assessor

, you’ll

ideally have: Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths. A relevant professional qualification at Level 3 or above - Diploma in Childcare and Education, Level 3 NVQ in Early Years, Care and Education, Children and Young People’s Workforce, NNEB. Experience of working with students and assessing vocational practice. Skills in assessing the progress of students. Knowledge of Child Care/Early Years programmes and the qualification framework.
