We are on a mission to transform the industry, aligning our strategies with a sustainable future. We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join our People Team. As the Learning and Development Manager, you will design, implement, and evaluate learning and development programmes that enhance employee skills, support career growth, and align with AVK’s goals. Reporting directly to the VP of People, you will play a key role in driving a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organisation. Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited to: Programme Design & Delivery

Design, deliver, and facilitate a range of learning programmes and workshops tailored to business needs, including onboarding, leadership development, technical skills, soft skills development, and compliance training. Leadership Development

Lead initiatives to support the development of future leaders and high-potential employees through bespoke programmes designed to build leadership capabilities. Onboarding Framework

Implement a company and department onboarding framework to ensure employees are seamlessly integrated and acquire the required skills, knowledge, and behaviours to be effective quickly in their roles. Performance Management

Collaborate with the wider People team and department managers to integrate learning and development initiatives into the performance management process. Learning Technologies

Build, manage and promote AVK’s learning management system, leveraging learning technologies to enhance programme delivery. Use data and analytics from these platforms to identify skill gaps and opportunities for new learning initiatives, ensuring programmes are tailored to meet evolving business and employee development needs. Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in learning technology to continuously improve learning strategies. Collaboration with People Partners

Work closely with People Partners and department managers to identify team-specific skill gaps and development needs. Ensure that learning and development initiatives are aligned with these needs and contribute to overall team performance and growth. Regularly assess the effectiveness of these programmes and make adjustments as necessary to support both individual and organizational goals. Qualifications

Proven experience in learning and development roles with a focus on programme design, delivery, and evaluation. Expertise in adult learning principles, training design, and facilitation. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. CIPD or other relevant professional qualifications are desirable, particularly those related to virtual learning and human-centred learning. Benefits
