Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Adult Mental Health Team to work Full Time based in Bromley. The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £46,578 per annum.

Main duties: If a qualified AMHP, to undertake Mental Health Act assessments and any other statutory functions in order to ensure conformity to appropriate legislative framework. To participate in the AMHP borough wide rota. In partnership with people who use services and their carers, assess and identify their needs and ensure these needs are met enhancing their quality of life and independence. To work in partnership with all internal and external professionals and organisations involved in assessment and service provision through effective communication and consultation networks ensuring a coordinated response to service users and carers. Provide professional advice and expertise to less experienced staff, including students and colleagues and carry a complex caseload. Establish, monitor and review care plans agreed with service users, carers and service providers. Using CPA policy and procedures and in line with the Care Act to identify measurable outcomes for service users and carers. Contribute to the control of team budgets by agreeing priorities with service users and carers, to ensure quality best value at all times. Ensure the welfare benefit entitlement of individuals in the community, or in hospital, are identified and met within the requirements of legislation and available resources. If required and where appropriate, to contribute to any plans relating to/respond to civil emergencies, supporting colleagues in the local Social Care teams and assessing/managing risk. Undertake safeguarding investigations, ensuring that the Council’s safeguarding policy and procedures are adhered to whilst working with vulnerable adults and children and undertaking investigations as required. Familiarise, uphold and promote the aims of the Council’s Equality and Diversity policies in the course of day-to-day work. Requirements of this Social Worker role: A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration.
