Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Children Residential Home Manager to work full time based in a Children’s home in Barnet. The salary for this permanent Children Residential Home Manager job is up to £75,070. Main Duties: Co-ordinating the care plan and therapeutic support for the young people living in the residential homes. Managing timely responses to referrals and appropriate matching to other young people who are residents in the units. Leading all safeguarding aspects in both homes and ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities in safeguarding these young people. Keeping abreast of developments in all the cases covered by the team. Assessing the level of risk and/or service to be offered to users, ensuring that the highest priority work is allocated and that the safety and wellbeing of the child is secured. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant statutory and independent sector agencies. Chairing reviews and meetings attended by users, colleagues, and representatives of other agencies. Providing information, including written reports, to ensure effective service delivery and to influence strategy development. Managing and overseeing the budget of both children’s homes in excess of £1.5m. Ensuring that services are delivered in partnership with all key stakeholders to meet children’s assessed needs on a planned, holistic basis within a family setting whenever this is consistent with their best interests. Requirements of this job: Level 5 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this. A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care. Ability to show leadership skills. Experience of managing budgets. Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections.
