Our client is a high-growth tech business which has experienced significant growth and isn't showing any signs of slowing down in 2024.
They are looking for an interim Group FC to work with the leadership team in building a best practice controllership function and support the continued growth of the business.
Experience/skills required: Experienced financial controller, ideally ICAS/ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Ideally strong experience in high growth businesses A calm, delivery focused person used to a fast-paced environment Keen ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance Proven track record of team leadership and mentorship, minimum 3-5 years Solid in working capital management and cash flow management Not phased by audits and stats, combines technical and commercial operating mindset Problem solver, deep numerical skills, and attention to detail The company has an office culture so you must be able to commute to their office in the Glasgow area 5 days/week.
The role is initially 3 months, with an urgent start.
Main responsibilities:
Delivering the Group's consolidated management accounts Ensuring technical accounting compliance with FRS 102 Streamlining and shortening the monthly reporting cycle Developing management accounting information to add commercial value Driving improvements in financial controls Implementing group accounting policies, procedures, internal controls and best practice Improving financial operating processes and systems Ownership of cash flow forecasting and working capital management Developing direct cash flow forecasting and reporting Reporting and reconciling of monthly Cash Flow Statements Improving use of the Company's ERP system, including functional optimisation and process improvement Seeking opportunities to save operating costs across the overhead base Mentoring and developing the current finance team Ensuring the team performs as one cohesive unit
