Main responsibilities

This role will include the following, adapting as required to support the needs of the firm:

Carrying out technical reviews of the financial statements medium & large UK-incorporated entities, included listed and public interest entities;

Responding to technical queries raised by engagement teams on UK-adopted International Accounting Standards, UK GAAP and UK company law and regulation;

Carrying out technical reviews of non-standard audit reports prepared under International or UK ISAs;

Project-manage the standardisation of templates across various jurisdictions served by the firm;

Preparation of guidance, including factsheets and templates, as a resource for teams carrying out UK engagements, including delivery of training on these where required;

Liaising with other departments, including those within the Risk, Compliance and Professional Standards team.

Required skills and experience

Strong technical financial reporting skills

ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent)

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team

Ability to use own initiative

Able to train and coach peers

Confidence and ability to engage with senior staff and partners

Strong communication skills, both oral and written
