Our teams are trusted as scheme actuaries to over 200 pension schemes, our actuarial services include advice on pensions strategy and funding position, regular valuations, journey planning, de-risking, GMP equalisation, and integrated risk management.
We are looking for an Actuarial Consultant to join our GMP team. This is a rapidly growing team and represents an exciting opportunity to be involved in GMP equalisation and other rectification projects.
The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the provision of advice in relation to GMP equalisation and other rectification exercises and to deliver the results to clients.
The purpose of the team is:
To advise clients in relation to benefit rectification projects both for ongoing pension schemes and those heading towards buy in/out or wind up.
To carry out benefit rectification projects, liaising with other departments where required and to provide technical support to the rest of the department.

Supervising, checking and signing off the work of junior team members providing coaching, mentoring and feedback to enhance quality of work and development of colleagues. Acting as the primary point of client contact on some projects. Attending client meetings and supporting the management of the team's workflow to achieve client delivery and providing a two way communication channel for the team to maximise motivation and team success. What are we looking for Qualifications A part qualified actuary studying with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' exams (full study is available to complete your studies if required) or qualified by experience. Skills required Essential Knowledge of benefits legislation and best practice. Industry specific knowledge. Good communication skills. Ability to work flexibly and able to work under pressure.
