Principal Structural Engineer (design)

to join a rapidly growing, innovative company who provide a wide range of specialist services to a variety of sectors. They work with their clients to provide a consultative design service which identifies cost advantageous solutions for below ground pipelines, tunnels and shafts. Prepare conceptual and detailed designs including calculations, design risk assessments and sketches / drawings / models as appropriate. Oversee and review structural designs, including calculations. Develop & grow the design team – mentoring more junior members of the team. Liaise with different teams within the business alongside clients, managing the project scope. To be involved in preparing tenders and fee proposals. Coordinate design work with a wide range of suppliers, designers and clients. Experience required for this Principal Structural Engineer role:

Chartered Engineer (ie MICE, MIET, MIMechE) or relevant experience. Circa 8-10 years’ experience within structural design. Ideally a background in Rail, Water, Utilities, Drainage or Tunnels.
