Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to advance your career? Our client, a proudly independent, award-winning veterinary practice in the picturesque County Durham, is seeking a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team. With some of the UK's most beautiful, unexplored countryside on your doorstep, this is a lovely place to work and enjoy the great outdoors.
This role is perfect for someone eager to step up in their career by mentoring and supporting the veterinary team without taking on the managerial or clerical responsibilities of a senior vet post. You will join an excellent team consisting of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 4 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), and a friendly and supportive Reception/Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA) team. The practice boasts a dedicated team, excellent facilities, and a flexible management approach, all contributing to a great work/life balance.
Our client is extremely supportive of staff training and actively encourages all aspects of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including supporting certificates, further clinical skills, and areas of interest. The practice routinely offers laparoscopic and orthopaedic surgery in-house and is well-equipped with the latest technology, including Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, and much more.

The Rota: •
Part time role - 27 hour week •
2 x 10 hr days - Wednesday and Thursday and 1 x 7 hr day - Either Monday or Friday •
1:3 Saturday mornings (8.30am to 12pm, 3.5hrs consults only) with TOIL •
No OOH or on call •
No Bank holidays
