Veterinary Surgeon - Sheringham - Norfolk

Full Time We are looking for two vets to join the team. They can be flexible as to whether this be part or full time as we understand there is life outside of work. A standard working day starts at 8.30 and finishes at 18.30. We have different shift patterns, as follows: 9-12 consult then 14.00 – 15.00 then 16.00 – 17.45 9-12 consult then 16.00 – 17.45 8.30 – 16.00 in theatre (you dictate your breaks) then consult 16.00- 17.45 There will be 1 in 6 Saturday mornings - Saturday mornings consist of consulting 9am – 12. If any inpatients require care over the weekend, the vet is responsible for transferring these to our out of hours provider after consults, although this happens infrequently. The diary is a mixture of operating and consulting time with a couple of half days between 9 – 11am or 14.00- 18.00 consulting at their smaller branch. This is sole charge consulting only. The salary for this role is up to £60,000 depending on experience. A Golden Hello is also on offer for the right candidate. We consider ourselves to have a well-equipped surgery with the usual range of diagnostic equipment including a dedicated imaging room. We have separate wards for cats and dogs to ensure minimal stress for pets staying with us. This is a 6-vet team, and we have a couple of wonderful locums who are regulars so our permanent staff can take their annual leave, allowing us to work at a sensible pace. If you have an interest in a particular veterinary area, we will endeavour to ensure you are given the support and funding to pursue those interests. We have three OVs and two VetGDP qualified vets. The nursing team consists of 6 super RVNs, 1 (soon to be 2) amazing SVNs and 2 awesome ANAs, all of whom are dedicated to patient care and work to support the vets including undertaking consultations.
