Permanent - Full Time Job Advert - Division Information: We are seeking a Specialty Doctor for our NHS acute adult psychiatry ward. The successful candidate will have an MBBS qualification, or equivalent, and will be required to maintain full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). This post has no on-call commitment. Key Responsibilities: Undertake psychiatric and medical assessments for patients admitted to Oak and Lower Court Ward to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist. Work with the unit multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of the Care Programme. Conduct physical assessments, ECGs, and blood tests on patients. Prepare reports and other associated documentation as necessary, e.g., for CPA meetings and ward rounds, as directed and supervised by a Consultant Psychiatrist. Attend daily multidisciplinary handover meetings. Participate in weekly group supervision sessions with Dr. Leon Rozewicz. Attend the weekly postgraduate CPD meeting. Participate in Clinical Governance and carry out audits. Complete regular risk assessments. Teach medical students from University College London. This post does not involve any on-call responsibilities as we have a Resident Medical Officer on site at all times. The post holder will be able to demonstrate evidence of foundation training and competencies (or equivalent), including experience of working within the field of psychiatry.
