London Responsibilities

Carries out responsible and varied assignments in the design of engineering work to meet given functional or performance requirements. Supplying engineers with design information for the production of detailed drawings. Preparation of bills of quantities and cost estimates; checking plans, designs, materials, for conformity with specifications. Preparation of technical literature; analysis of failures or client complaints. Participates in planning assigned design projects. Solves design problems by combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Relevant Experience and Competence

Knowledge

Professional qualifications and membership – a degree in mechanical engineering, will be working towards a chartered professional qualification or may have achieved chartered membership status in an engineering discipline. External clients – an understanding of expectations and project delivery. Technical – technically astute in the field of engineering. Skills

Analytical – the ability to challenge viewpoints for an effective outcome. Project delivery – the ability to work to conflicting demands and support project delivery. Communication – strong written and verbal communication and building effective relationships. Experience
