Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client whose mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer on a contract basis. The role will be based in Warwick.
Job Description As Senior Project Engineer, your main responsibilities are:
5+ years of Automotive Design and Engineering experience in Exterior systems including Bumper Systems, Exterior Trim, Grilles, Fenders, Spoilers, Mirrors, and Glazing.
2+ years in a senior/principal engineering role within the above commodities.
Experience in Lead Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Manager roles within Wipers, Glazing, Wash Systems.
Experience working with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier in Exteriors.
Supplier coordination and management experience.
Knowledge of DFMEA, Exteriors manufacturing methodologies, and general requirements linked to glazing, mirrors, and wash systems (Industry best practice and legislation).
DVP and testing experience (virtual and physical phase).
Production releasing experience.
Launch and pre-production build experience.
Forward thinker and advocate of innovation and new technologies.
Strong leadership of a team of high-performance engineers.
Self-motivated to deliver excellence and an excellent communicator.
CAD viewing software experience.
Nice to have:
High-end SUV experience.
BEV/EV experience.
Start-up experience.
Good knowledge of Exterior methodologies, Injection Mouldings, and/or sheet moulded composites.
