The Role

We are seeking a technical sales specialist to continue developing our business in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for sales and fostering customer relationships within this territory.

Location

This is a field based role for candidates located ideally between Newcastle and Dundee.

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain profitable sales within the designated territory to maximize sales potential.

Sales Development:

Actively pursue new business opportunities and oversee the sales cycle.

Customer Management:

Build and nurture relationships through structured site visits and communications with current and prospective clients. Identify and manage key accounts and contacts.

Field Visits:

Perform on-site sales visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions, which may require overnight stays.

CRM Management:

Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, adhere to established processes, and leverage the system to enhance sales development efforts.

Exhibitions:

Organize and participate in on-site mini-exhibitions and symposiums.

Other Responsibilities:

Support marketing initiatives related to the territory, participate in the creation of sales and training videos and webinars, and report on competitor activities and market conditions.

Experience & Qualifications:

Experience:

Familiarity with Organic, Medicinal, Scale-up, and Process Chemists within the Pharmaceutical, CRO, Biotech, BioPharma, Research, and Chemical sectors is essential.

Track Record:

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of products in process and organic chemistry.

IT Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Valid UK driving license.
