Work closely with the audit principal to manage statutory audits for corporate and charity entities, both on-site and in the office Review audit files to ensure they meet quality standards Oversee complex work for partner review, addressing technical or entity-specific issues and recommending solutions Ensure compliance with quality management systems Lead client relationships and additional services Take a leading role in budgeting and commercial aspects Drive compliance with audit procedures across the team Engage in business development and identify opportunities with new and existing clients Manage the audit team, ensuring proper resourcing Oversee billing, WIP, and debtors Proactively manage projects Provide effective feedback to team members About you
ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with relevant experience Post qualified, statutory audit experience gained in a practice environment Experience of group audits and preparing consolidated financial statements and compliance regulation Solid understanding of corporate financial reporting and company law requirements Good knowledge of bespoke audit and accounts software would be an advantage Full, clean driving licence, plus unrestricted access to a car (which must be insured to cover business use and the transport of passengers) Experience in using automated audit software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes; plus advanced MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills Previous experience of managing and developing a team Why work at PKF Francis Clark
