Weldmar Hospicecare, a values-driven organisation supporting adults across Dorset with life-limiting illnesses, is seeking a Head of Fundraising to spearhead our income generation efforts.

About the Role As Head of Fundraising, you will: Develop and implement an ambitious fundraising strategy that enhances income generation across multiple streams, including events, legacies, corporate giving, and community support. Provide strategic and operational leadership to the fundraising team, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including Retail, Marketing, and Clinical, as well as external stakeholders and supporters. Deliver inspiring stewardship plans, data-driven donor strategies, and innovative fundraising initiatives to increase supporter engagement and retention. Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and performance metrics, ensuring fundraising activities align with Weldmar's goals. About You To excel in this role, you will have: A proven track record of fundraising success, generating sustainable income across various streams in the charity sector. Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and empower a team to meet ambitious targets. In-depth knowledge of UK charity law, fundraising codes of practice, and GDPR. Exceptional skills in strategic planning, budget management, and donor stewardship. A collaborative mindset, coupled with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Essential requirements: Professional qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (or working towards it). The ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, and a full UK driving licence. Why Join Us?
