Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a change in your career? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you here at Purovets. Our client is a small animal hospital in an excellent location in the West Midlands. With easy access to the M6 and M5 motorways, Birmingham's train links, and two nearby airports, this position offers convenience and connectivity. Birmingham itself boasts the renowned Bullring and Grand Central shopping centres, offering a variety of high-street fashion and household shops.

The hospital is part of a larger, reputable, and progressive veterinary group with nearly 30 years of establishment. With nine practices across the West Midlands, East Midlands, and Staffordshire, this group is known for its friendly, compassionate approach to veterinary care.

They are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join this dynamic team. You will work alongside a fantastic team of vets, nurses, and support staff. The team includes surgery certificate holders who routinely perform advanced orthopaedic procedures such as TTA and TPLO. Additionally, the group has specialists in exotics, ECC, imaging, medicine, and ophthalmology, along with a visiting cardiologist who performs echocardiography and ECG.

The role involves some sole charge days, so confidence in general surgical and medical skills is essential. You will have the clinical freedom to fully work up and manage your cases with the support of your colleagues. The practice provides a spacious, light, and airy working environment with a surgical theatre, prep room, and advanced equipment including Digital X-ray, Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, Ultrasonography (including Doppler), Endoscopy, and ECG. They also have a comprehensive In-house laboratory featuring microscopy, haematology, biochemistry, and an Idexx Catalyst for fast in-house results. The clinic is working towards ISFM cat-friendly status and RCVS accreditation. They maintain a good ratio of registered veterinary nurses, many of whom hold certificates in ECC, Anaesthesia, feline nursing, and behaviour.

If you are looking to join a forward-thinking practice that supports professional growth and provides excellent veterinary care, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to become part of this exceptional team.
