Envisics is developing game-changing Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) technology based on holography, which is under commercialization for a major OEM.

The

Program Manager

will lead the project interface with our automotive customers (Tier 1 and OEM) from business win to product launch.

This is a highly customer-orientated technical and project management role working to demanding delivery schedules. Strong people skills, project organization, and attention to technical details are essential.

Duties and responsibilities:

Reporting to the EVP Product, and working closely with a team of Technical Directors, lead the customer-facing project interface as the project deliverables are developed, qualified, and launched.

Ensure timely execution and supply of customer-agreed deliverables: samples, software releases and feature upgrades

Develop and manage the project plan alignment parts delivery with customer plans. Perform project simulations and develop risk management strategies.

Support the application of Envisics’ technology with the customer, including training and all related project documentation (specification, manuals, application notes).

Attend and lead regular Tier1 product development team meetings, technical focus meetings and other supplier meetings with other technical team members.

Attend and support OEM vehicle integration meetings to ensure seamless mechanical integration and calibration implementation.

Manage open issues lists to ensure customer technical issues are captured, actioned, and resolved.

Support the customer on-site with sample delivery and demonstration, vehicle integration testing.

Oversee product variation across model years and carlines, managing engineering change requests that influence cost and performance.

Work internally with the technical teams in order to understand the product in detail, and be able to promote Envisics current and future technology generations.

Support technical business development activities with the same customer base, as required.

Report internally on project progress on a weekly basis, flagging issues that impact the business delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.

Track record of working with multi-disciplinary engineering and technical teams (Systems, Software, Hardware, Mechanics, Optics), in an automotive tier 1 or tier 2 delivery environment.

Ability to manage complex automotive programs with knowledge of typical product development processes from quotation to start of production.

Knowledge of working with customer requirements and data management systems.

Experience supporting projects in a fast-moving and dynamic environment; use of project management tools including MS Project.

Good knowledge of product development within an APQP framework leading to PPAP submission.

Strong commercial and business awareness.

Strong technical gravitas, with significant experience interacting with customers: able to confidently present technical issues and develop good rapport.

Knowledge of automotive displays, instrumentation or opto-electronics components would be a significant advantage for this role.

Previous career experience working in R&D/Engineering/Product development with mechanical CAD tools would be beneficial.
