You will be responsible for As a Capability Partner, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to define the strategic direction for functional learning. Your role involves identifying current and future capability needs, contributing to the overarching Group Tesco Capability strategy alongside fellow Capability Partners within the PoE. Additionally, you’ll work closely with the Capability Design team and Tesco Business Services (TBS) to shape, influence, and take ownership of capability development for your specific business area.

Partner senior stakeholders (WL5) to influence and develop strategic direction for functional learning from a Group perspective.

Lead robust, data-led learning needs analysis to develop and deliver prioritised market-focused capability plans.

Work collaboratively with other Capability Partners to ensure a rounded view of market needs within functional plans.

Partner with people business partners, talent partners, and POE teams to ensure end-to-end alignment to the overall colleague experience.

Champion the core learning offer for colleagues, managers, and leaders, ensuring a seamless learning experience.

Own any safe and legal training specific to your market and work with TBS to create compliant content.

Ensure your function(s) follow all governance processes and prioritise work in line with the group capability's plans.

Take a cost-conscious approach to all budgetary decisions, ensuring we follow group capability budgeting priorities.

Contribute to establishing a world-class Group PoE within Capability.

Lead the market capability strategy including Learning Tech experience and governance.

Champion and role model our Win Together behaviours, contributing to a cultural change programme.

You will need

A background in operations - For example, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or hospitality.

Senior stakeholder engagement and influencing ability.

Knowledge of latest learning trends and how people learn.

Understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges.

Knowledge of learning and development interventions and providers.

Learning and Development expertise.

Strategic Business Partnering skills.

Excellent consulting and critical analysis skills.

Strong business and commercial acumen.

Able to present information and data compellingly to a senior audience.

Courage and initiative to challenge.

Strive for continuous improvement.

Ability to embrace and drive change.

Ability to balance high-level perspective with pragmatic approach.

Knowledge of learning/cultural/behavioural change theories.

Diversity and Inclusion experience.

Ability to collaborate and communicate beyond your own team/function.
