The Branch Manager will plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the branch in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Duties and responsibilities include managing the team & the daily operation with regards to safety, customer service, warehouse operations & customer deliveries. They will also be responsible for using sales skills to sell engineering and welding products to new and existing customers in order to meet, if not exceed, sales targets. To abide by the current Safety, Health and Environment policy giving priority to the safety of employees, customers, visitors & contractors at all times. Deliver exceptional customer experience, with a passion and enthusiasm for driving to improve customer satisfaction wherever possible. Direct and coordinate activities of the branch concerned with the sale & distribution of products. Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Management of the team, preparing work schedules & assigning specific duties. Management & responsibility for delivery vehicles including road safety & load security. Responsible for the recording of KPI’s & branch related metrics. Drive employee engagement. Lead and develop a team to create a “One Team” atmosphere. Work alongside the sales manager and sales team to help them achieve the Company’s sales and profit targets. Working with the Facility Manager where appropriate. Satisfactory operation of the Company’s purchasing and stock control system. Be instrumental in accurate and timely stock counts. Monitor the safekeeping of cash on the premises, with regards to cash sales ensure that the cash book balances at all times. Operate within the guidelines as defined by the Company’s BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance System at all times. Be a key holder and responsible for opening and closing the depot & ensuring that the premises and its contents are kept secure at all times. Be on call for any out of hours emergencies. Determine resource requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes. Promote and actively ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the office, stores and trade counter. The above duties may involve having access to information of a confidential nature and confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Are you a MATCH?

Knowledge of engineering and welding processes and requirements is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. A working knowledge of the health and safety requirements of the HASAW Act. Knowledge of ISO9002 is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Previous management or supervisory experience ideally in a warehouse or trade counter environment. Demonstrated ability of working within a fast-paced environment, maintaining high levels of customer service. Good standard of numeracy and literacy. Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. A full, clean driving licence. A forklift licence is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided on the safe use of mechanical handling equipment. Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems. Good telephone manners. About Us
