Our client, a dynamic and growing full-service law firm, is seeking a hands-on Commercial Litigator to join their team. The ideal candidate would have 2-3 years PQE, but our client is also open to more senior candidates with a complementary specialism or reasonable following.
This role involves managing a variety of high-value, complex commercial litigation cases in the High Court, such as contract disputes, corporate disputes, insolvency, insurance, professional negligence, and procurement. The successful candidate should have the ability to handle cases independently, as well as work alongside partners on larger cases.
In the near future, the firm has several week-long commercial litigation trials, and in the longer term, they are preparing for more extensive four- and five-week trials. The team is trained to handle such complex litigation, with associates already running trials and assisting partners in longer-term cases.
Key Responsibilities
Handle high-value commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, insolvency, and professional negligence.
Independently manage cases from start to finish, including trial preparation and client communication.
Collaborate with partners on larger, complex litigation matters.
Skills & Qualifications
2-3 years PQE in commercial litigation with significant High Court experience.
Ability to manage cases independently and effectively communicate with clients.
Experience working on complex cases alongside senior partners.
Preferred but Not Required:
Senior candidates with a complementary specialism and/or a reasonable following.
