On Offer: Competitive hourly pay rate Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home IR35 Determination - Highly likely to be outside so engagement through a LLC is permitted Responsibilities: Leading or working within a team of process engineers, you will advise and contribute to the following: Providing technical expertise to projects. Ensuring latest technology or practices are implemented on projects. Leading the development of concepts from client specifications. Supporting and producing technical and techno-economic studies. Reviewing or supporting the production of:
Process simulations to produce heat and material balances, Process and utility flow diagrams, Process studies, conceptual, feasibility or plant optimization.
Liaising with licensors, other discipline engineers, project management, and clients. Providing technical training on subject matter expertise. Supporting proposals and having an understanding of planning projects. Skills (Essential): Extensive experience in the following technologies:
Heavy oil recovery processes Heavy oil treatment / separation
Experience communicating across a multi-discipline team and across different offices. Understanding of requirements of other disciplines as part of project execution. Experience of work hour control and working to schedule and within budget on a major project. Good organizational skills. Developing presentations and experience communicating with client teams. Understanding of development proposals for new projects. Must be able to drive quality within the process team and ensure high standards are met. Experience taking a leading role in a safety review (HazOp/SIL/LOPA). Strong written communication skills and experience writing technical reports. Flexibility to work across a number of different projects. Experience building simulation models in Hysys/Promax or similar simulation tool for complex simulations and ability to explain/train younger engineers. Experience of working on conceptual studies. Skills (Desirable): Experience training/mentoring younger engineers either informally or through a formal training scheme. Experience presenting technology in formal settings. Experience building relationships with licensors and clients. Qualifications: BSc degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. 15+ years experience working with a major EPC contractor or operator.
