As a

flood risk engineer , you will be responsible for completing flood risk assessments for planning applications, surface water management plans, drainage impact assessments and much more. You will also have the opportunity to manage small-scale projects and work with our team of geoenvironmental consultants for multi-disciplinary projects. We have a clear vision and plan for growth, and like-minded individuals will have the opportunity to help grow our business and share in the success this brings. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who likes a challenge, wants to work in a growing team and has a desire to further their career. Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsibilities

Production of Flood Risk Assessments for planning applications. Development of SuDS Strategies and drainage solutions. Development of surface water management plans. Drainage impact assessments. Liaison with sub-consultants (i.e. to obtain topographic / CCTV survey). Liaison with clients and regulators supported by team management. Contribute to Geo-environmental Investigation reports. Requirements

HND or BSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology, or similar. 1 year+ experience within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority role completing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage design. Experience with Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, Masterdrain, GiS software or similar. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. High motivation and desire to build upon existing experience and continuing professional development with The LK Group. Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills, showing enthusiasm, flexibility and versatility. Ability to work under own initiative while fully co-ordinating with line manager’s requirements. Motivation to join a professional body and work towards Chartership (i.e. CIWEM).
