Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Hours: Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break
Location: Shrewsbury, SY4 4RR
Part of the Dunstall Holdings Groups, Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) was established over 30 years ago and is a leading regional agricultural machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, mid and North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire and also sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad. About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced assistant accountant who will be reliable and work well within a small and friendly team. This role will add value through the individual’s capability to collaborate relevant financial and non-financial information to aid in management decision making.
The post holder will assist the financial controller and Group FD to deliver the budget process, prepare the management accounts, have heavy involvement with year end audits, manage cash flows and working capital and provide high quality information. You will have an analytical mind, be a well-developed communicator and need to be a very adaptable individual who can prioritise workloads effectively.
The individual will act on initiative, find a solution rather than offer a problem and has the confidence for autonomy to make decisions and challenge – this role requires an all rounder who’s happy to complete transactional activities and also technical and reporting activities.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will (this list is not exhaustive):
Transacting to TB level for Dunstall Holdings and Commercial Vehicles Companies
Management accounts preparation and reporting for Dunstall Holdings and Commercial Vehicles
Cash flow forecasting and reporting for Dunstall Holdings and Commercial Vehicles
Assist FC with RVT/Group funding requirements
Assist FC with group daily cash flow management
Have ownership for funders audit requirements
Budgets for RVT CV and Dunstall Holdings
Budget Assistance for RVT
Statutory Audits for RVT CV and Dunstall Holdings
Assistance with RVT Statutory Audit
P11D’s
Misc reporting and team assistance
Candidate Requirements
Accounting knowledge and experience, studying / CIMA qualified or equivalent
A high level of proficiency in Excel is a requirement to be successful in this role
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads
