Position: IP Solutions Engineer
Creative Technology has a unique and exciting opportunity for an IP Solutions Engineer to join the team! Based in the Integrated Networks department, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and equipment expertise to the Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Account Directors as required to deliver the events and projects Creative Technology is world renowned for. You will be required to assist in the selection and configuration of equipment, services, and systems capable of delivering projects to the robust standards expected by Creative Technology and our clients. The ability to convey technical information and suggest well-thought-out technical solutions to problems are paramount to the role of IP Solutions Engineer, and the ability to explain complex principles to less technically minded clients is invaluable. Creative Technology is at the forefront of delivering IP workflows for uncompressed video and audio transport at live events. The successful applicant must keep themselves at the cutting edge of these technologies, having a deep understanding of the SMPTE-2110 technologies and protocols. In-depth knowledge of network architecture, IP infrastructure, deployment of virtual machines and Docker environments, monitoring systems, and SND orchestration is also an advantage. As SMPTE-2110 is a broadcast standard, knowledge of video and audio technology and standards within broadcast or live event workflows is also important. The role involves being involved in multiple projects at any given time, some of which will require your presence on site. The ability to document systems and instructions, train full-time and freelance staff, and deliver remote support to these systems is imperative.
