Group Accountant

This could be just the opportunity you have been looking for… Trial Balance has been assigned by a repeat customer, a firm that we really enjoy dealing with, and a very successful and growing manufacturing business based in Falmouth. The role that they are looking to fill has a broad remit to take in management and legislative reporting for the business along with day-to-day governance for the operation of the finance department. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a number 2 role in the accounting team with the following key responsibilities: Preparation and analysis of management accounts Assisting with year-end financial statement preparation. Deputising for the FD where required. Control of the audit process. Payroll systems control. Forecasting and budgeting. Costing, pricing and stock valuation. Continuous process improvement of the finance department. This is a pivotal role in the finance team and as such would suit a fully or nearly qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA with experience working within a group function. Strong commercial acumen and excellent man-management skills will also be key to your success in this role, which offers a great platform to demonstrate and develop your management and statutory accounting skills.
