Harper Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well-established organisation who are known for their iconic brands. Due to continued success, they are looking to recruit an experienced Collections and Credit team leader to join their team.
This role is essential for assessing and controlling credit risk to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of all customer accounts. You will be responsible for minimising risk through effective debt collection management, maximising sales by ensuring efficient order release in alignment with the company's credit policy, and providing focus, motivation, and development to your team.
What the role will involve? Motivate, focus and drive performance of Credit Controllers within your team. Coach and train team members and provide feedback in order to improve skills and competencies. Set monthly targets for the team, monitor performance during the month and assist where necessary. Review of the Aged Debt, providing focus and drive to the team, dealing with and resolving specific issues. Monitor the level of disputes, liaise with Customer Services to resolve issues and escalate where necessary. Ensure correct and timely allocation of all cash, credit notes and journals. Provide monthly Management Information showing performance of your team, targets set and achievement, issues to escalate, plus actions going forward. Prepare the appraisals of your team members, agree and review action plans and assist/coach where necessary. Be a point of escalation for your team.
Who we are looking for? 2 Years + Credit Control Experience Prior Supervisory experience Fluent Spoken & Written English + one other European Language minimum Analytical Skills: Capable of Balance Sheet, P&L & Trend analysis; understanding the Broader Business picture/goals; a lateral thinker
