pladis was established in June 2016 and brings together the much-loved global brands of Godiva, McVitie's, Ulker, and DeMet's under one pladis umbrella, forming a global giant in biscuits, chocolate, and confectionery.

The UK & ROI pladis region employs 5,000 people across 13 locations in the UK & ROI (nine manufacturing/distribution sites and four office locations) and is an anchor market for the business.

The UK & ROI has ambitious plans, and Customer Finance acts as an enthusiastic and honest business partner to help the business build robust external relationships and maximize internal value creation. We ensure the Customer teams develop a better understanding of both consumer and trade dynamics to build more effective strategies.

You will support in driving the rituals and routines necessary to understand performance, deliver insightful and actionable financial analysis, provide rigorous financial control and evaluation processes to support the Customer team with customer investment decisions.

Principle Accountabilities

Develop a strong business partnering culture with the account team, providing supportive challenge and valuable insight while ensuring ongoing continual improvement. Work with the Customer team to drive a better understanding of the drivers of performance (including trends, channel/customer profitability, and understanding of external retailer landscape and dynamics) and develop GAP fill opportunities. Support a regular rhythm of business performance diagnostics, the annual & strategic planning process & DOP/Forecast process. Support customer discussions by preparing Joint Business Plan evaluations with a more for more mentality to maximize the investment as well as modeling customer P&L's. Manage & support to control terms/pricing investment, tracking of delivery & P&L management of accruals. Implement pre & post evaluation of TI investment made to optimize returns. Manage unsolicited deductions working with Genpact and account teams.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential

Prior experience in FMCG in Customer/Commercial Finance. A passion for business performance management & analytics. A strong collaborator and communicator. Ability to influence and work collaboratively across the organization. Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous and changing role and able to drive the agenda forward. Self-confidence and skill to challenge the most senior leaders in the business. Qualified with 2+ years post-qualified experience. Degree holder. Advanced MS Excel, PPT. Fluent in English. A qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).

Desirable

Minimum Bachelor degree in mathematics, accountancy, physical sciences, engineering, or economics.
