Overview:

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead and manage the engineering of complex process systems, ensuring their efficiency, safety, and sustainability. You will work on small-scale projects, provide technical leadership to engineering teams, and collaborate with stakeholders across various disciplines. This role is critical in driving innovation, improving process performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities:

Provide engineering input to estimates for project work scopes. Provide input to progress and planning meetings. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level process engineers. Review and approve engineering calculations, simulations, and design documents. Act as the technical authority on process engineering matters within the company. Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process. Produce calculations required for the role and participate in design reviews. Provide checking and approval of discipline documents; complete interdisciplinary checking of documents where necessary. Production of discipline documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs. Provide a level of technical support that satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards ensuring they are not compromised by any discipline engineering activities. Ensure that all process designs and operations comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and the development of safety procedures. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the engineering team. Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards. Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate. Approve dispensations to codes or standards where justified. Checking and approving design deliverables:

P&ID diagrams. Control and shutdown system philosophy. Vendor Statement of Requirements. Process Input to instrument Data Sheets. Review and checking of Cause & Effect Diagrams. Checking of Pneumatic, Chemical and Hydraulic Hook-up Diagram.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is often preferred. Previous upstream Oil and Gas Engineering experience. Knowledge and understanding of international standards relating to Instrument equipment and system design, current legislative and industry requirements. Experience in the field of Instrument system design across a range of small and medium sized projects. Experienced in working in different project life cycles (concept, FEED, and detailed design). Conversant in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Detailed understanding of all Engineering disciplines. Knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards. Additional certifications related to process safety management (PSM), project management (PMP), or Six Sigma can be advantageous. About You
