What do electric bikes, forklifts, and renewable energy storage have in common? They're all about to be powered by supercapacitors built by a team of leading electrochemists and polymer scientists.

If you want to be part of a scale-up journey to create reliable and eco-friendly energy solutions in a role where you are given true autonomy to innovate and be creative, this could be the opportunity for you.

The R&D team has a strong foundation of polymer membrane optimization and electrolyte knowledge, and you can use your knowledge of material sciences to support the R&D team by studying optimal electrode materials.

This hands-on position is a fit for someone that is keen to learn and grow with a rising star in Cambridge, with plenty of chances to gain responsibility and seniority along the way.

You are a perfect fit if you've also spearheaded the way forwards on projects by designing your own experiments and thinking outside the box. Since your work will be some of the first of its kind, you will eventually also get a chance to be involved in patenting your results.

Interested? Here's what would look good in your CV: PhD in Material Sciences or similar degree Previous experiences with material synthesis and electrode materials Knowledge of designing experiments for characterization of battery cell materials Projects working with carbon electrodes or lithium ion batteries When you're ready to make a difference with a company that is a potential game-changer for an entire industry and a team that will listen to what you have to say, apply now!

For more details, find Dominic Fung at SoCode on LinkedIn and leave a note mentioning material sciences.
